Lovely looking watch
This is a lovely looking watch and would seem to be a very good quality timepiece for the price, however I cannot comment on the reliability or the day-to-day usage of the watch because my wife has not been able to wear it once since I bought it for her several months ago! I bought the watch online, but the item we received was actually 6 years old (which had probably been stuck on a shelf in a warehouse somewhere) - the only way we were able to tell this is because a store had stamped the warranty booklet with the date it had been received - there was no other way of telling - BEWARE - Rotary have changed their warranty in the last couple of years and are now offering a lifetime warranty on all of their watches - because of the date registered, the one we were sent would have been subject to the old warranty, which is just 2 years, therefore it was probably technically out of warranty before we even received it! The current warranty also states that it is only valid if the watch is serviced at regular intervals, therefore even if we had the lifetime warranty it may have been invalid because the watch was already 6 years old when we received it and had obviously not been serviced in that time. Make sure that you receive an authentic warranty card (looks like a credit card) with your watch - that is the only proof that it is a new model with a lifetime warranty - if you only get a warranty booklet then it is likely to be old stock and will only have a 2 year warranty. To be fair, Ernest Jones very were apologetic and replaced the item they initially sent with a new model.
