Insurance replacement service

Signet Corporate Services offer a market leading insurance replacement service to major insurance companies and their policyholders.

Unfortunately, precious items may be the subject of an insurance claim as a result of theft, damage or loss. Our insurance replacement service gives policyholders the chance to discuss their claim with our experts and helps them resolve it and replace their items with ease.

Our service includes:

  • A policyholder and client contact centre to facilitate the smooth settlement of a claim.
  • A validation service to ensure that items are valued correctly.
  • A settlement service to enable policyholders to replace their items quickly and easily.

Policyholder and client contact centre

Our specialist contact team understands the sentimental value of stolen, lost or damaged items. They will clearly explain and discuss claims with the policyholder, ensuring each claim is resolved smoothly and with minimum distress to the policyholder.

Validation service

Our team of experts have a wide range of experience in the jewellery industry and are headed by National Association of Goldsmiths registered valuers. They will ensure that an accurate limit of liability is established, thus ensuring a current market value is placed on each item. They will then manage the claim on your behalf to fulfilment or return a quote to your originating office and claims handler.

Settlement service

Whether an item was purchased in one of our stores or not, we will make replacing it as easy as possible. Once its value has been agreed, our settlement team will discuss with the policyholder the most suitable method of replacement.

We offer an insurance replacement card, similar to a gift card. The agreed value will be loaded onto the card, allowing the policyholder to visit the Ernest Jones store* of their choice and choose items up to this amount.

Alternatively, if possible, policyholders may prefer an exact replacement of their item at one of our stores. We will help to arrange this.

If an item can be repaired, we will organise this through our central specialist workshop and then arrange for the policyholder to collect the repaired piece at a store of their choice.
