About Ernest Jones

Our Heritage

It began in 1949, with a single door opening onto the bustle of London’s Oxford Street. Ernest and Stella Weinstein didn’t simply set out to sell jewellery; they sought to bring the prestige of a West End atelier to a wider world. They believed that the brilliance of a finely cut diamond and the precision of a Swiss timepiece should not be reserved for the few, but celebrated by many.

From that first store, a legacy was born. Over the decades, Ernest Jones evolved from a family passion into a national icon, defined by an uncompromising eye for detail and a deep respect for the craft. We became the curators of life’s most meaningful moments: the “yes” moment, the graduation watch, the eternity ring that says everything words cannot.

In 1987, we joined the Signet family, a move that enabled our expertise to reach every corner of the UK. While the world around us continued to change, our values remained as constant as a mechanical movement.

Today, we continue to stand by a simple belief: true luxury is not defined by price, but by story, soul, and craftsmanship designed to last a lifetime.

Our Charity Partner

We’re proud to be partnered with Young Lives vs Cancer, the UK's leading charity for children and young people with cancer, and their families.

Working together since October 2014, we’ve raised over £1.5million to date – and we’re not stopping there. Today, 12 more children and young people will hear the devastating news they have cancer. Young Lives vs Cancer’s specialist social workers play a crucial role in making sure the right care and support is received from the moment of diagnosis. Help us continue to raise vital funds and shop for the cause.
