Birth of the brand
In February 1926, Hans Wilsdorf obtained the trademark registration for "The Tudor" and began producing watches featuring this distinctive name on the dial. Following World War II, Wilsdorf recognized the need to establish an independent identity for the brand. On March 6, 1946, he established "Montres TUDOR S.A.", specialising in watches for both men and women. Rolex ensured the brand's excellence by ensuring superior technical, aesthetic, and functional qualities, as well as handling distribution and after-sales service.
