When the P-51 Mustang was built in a mere 120 days, even its developer, North American Aviation, didn’t anticipate what a powerhouse it had on its hands. Swiss watchmakers - Breitling, now bring you a chronograph inspired by that very same aircraft. The stainless-steel case is 48mm in diameter and uses cambered sapphire glass, glare proofed on both sides for clarity and expert protection. Also featuring a screwed in crown with two gaskets and bi-directional ratcheted bezel. The movement utilises the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B04, trademarked to the Breitling brand. The dials feature green emitting Super-LumiNova® luminescent numerals, indexes, and hands for vision in the night-time. The old-brown pilot-inspired leather strap with folding clasp (24/20 mm) adds the finishing touches. With a plentiful amount of history behind it, this expertly made chronograph is ready take flight.
